What’s the only thing better than celebrating one major milestone? Celebrating two! 

I recently had the absolute honor of capturing senior portraits for an Alabama online Master’s graduate at the gorgeous Capitol Park Gardens in Baton Rouge. This wasn’t just any shoot—this was a full-circle moment. I had previously taken her – and later her boyfriend’s – senior portraits when she earned her bachelor’s degree from LSU, so being part of her journey for this next chapter was incredibly special.

Let’s take a moment to appreciate how absolutely on fire this girl is. She’s not only heading to Alabama’s campus for the first time ever next week just to walk the stage (power move), but she’s also already secured a job with Ochsner. If that’s not the definition of thriving, I don’t know what is. And seriously—spending all that time grinding away online, only to step onto campus like a legend for the big moment? Iconic.

For the shoot, we met at Capitol Park Gardens, which is honestly one of my favorite locations in Baton Rouge for senior photos. Between the lush greenery and the iconic backdrop of the Louisiana State Capitol, the spot just screams gorgeous. Plus, the natural lighting that day was absolutely stunning—it gave her portraits such a soft, warm glow.

What I love most about this senior (besides her obvi) is her ability to relax and have fun in front of the camera. She trusted me to guide her through different poses, but she also brought her own energy and personality to the session. We laughed, we celebrated, and we even took a few photos that were just plain fun—because that’s what these sessions are all about: capturing the moment and you in it.

To my Alabama Master’s grad, congratulations again! You’re stepping into this next chapter with so much grace and determination, and I know you’re going to crush it at Ochsner. It was an absolute joy to capture this milestone for you, and I can’t wait to see where your journey takes you next.
