Top 7 LSU Senior Portrait Locations You Won’t Want to Miss

Senior Portrait Photography at LSU Sign in Baton Rouge

Looking for the perfect spots on LSU’s campus to capture your senior portraits? 🎓 You’ve come to the right place! As a photographer who’s spent more time wandering the Quad than I’d like to admit (what can I say, I’m a sucker for some big gorgeous trees and a long walk), I’ve got the lowdown on all the best locations to make your senior photos pop. So, let’s dive into my top 7 LSU senior portrait locations!

Senior Portrait Photography at Tiger Stadium and PMAC in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Tiger Stadium

Let’s all be real here, you know this shot. You’ve seen this shot. This IS THE shot. Easily topping our list is the most iconic shot on campus – Tiger Stadium. Well… the PMAC Ramp facing Tiger Stadium haha

The grandeur of the stadium’s architecture and bold LSU colors make this spot a showstopper. It’s a must-have shot for any LSU senior looking to show off their Tiger pride! 📸🐯

LSU Memorial Tower

Clocking in at number two is the towering Memorial Tower! Pose against its impressive backdrop and let its historic flair add a sprinkle of sophistication to your photos. It’s the ideal choice for those who want their portraits to radiate elegance and a touch of drama. It’s like the ultimate accessory for your senior photos—bold, chic, and absolutely unforgettable.

The Quad

Now if we’re talking versatility, we need to talk about the quad. From enchanting fountains to stunning architecture and lush greenery, this iconic location has everything you need to create a truly memorable look.

The Arches/Architecture

Another shot you’ve no doubt seen if you’ve seen like any LSU senior portraits. I LOVE the arches in the quad. The majestic arches frame your shot with a regal touch, adding a bold and beautiful vibe to your photos. It’s like having a touch of royalty in every frame!

The Fountain

The fountain in The Quad isn’t just a pretty face – it’s your go-to for adding a touch of elegance to your portraits. Whereas most locations on campus play up neutrals and greens (outside of purple and gold, duh) the fountain creates a nice color contrast for your photos – giving them a serene pop of blue to your frames.

Greenery

The greenery at The Quad is all about fresh, vibrant vibes. The sprawling lawns and lush foliage create a lively and picturesque setting, adding a natural pop to your portraits. It’s the perfect way to frame your moments with a touch of natural beauty and charm.

Senior Portrait Photography at sorority row in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Sorority/Fraternity Row

Now, of course, this is only applicable if you were in a sorority or frat, so if this isn’t you, read on. If this IS you, you already know how gorgeous the houses on the row are. I’ve yet to meet a house that didn’t deliver as a beautiful backdrop for any grad’s senior portraits.

Senior Portrait Photography at the Mike the Tiger Satue in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Mike the Tiger’s Habitat

Now if you’re favorite thing to do between classes was go hang out by Mike and watch him pace, this is another great option! This spot has two shots: the first is the Mike the Tiger statue. The statue is a sure fire way to get the little (big?) guy in your photos (because he can’t move haha). The sun is in a gorgeous spot for sun flares and framing you in your big graduate moment!

Now if you get lucky and Mike is on the prowl, pop in one of the lookout spots and catch him in the background for a really fun frame of everyone’s favorite boy!!

Senior Portrait Photography at LSU Entrance Sign in Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Louisiana State University Sign

Alright, let’s talk about the LSU sign. You want classic? You want iconic? This is the spot. The Louisiana State University sign gives you instant campus cred in every shot. It’s bold, it’s proud, and honey, it’s timeless. This backdrop screams, “I made it!” without saying a word.

Word of caution though, this sign is right at the traffic circle on Dalrymple so we may be dodging cars a little bit. No worries! I’ve done it before (and I’d do it again!) and it’s not too wild. A car every few minutes, and you can see them coming from any direction so it’s not a real danger but do be aware there will likely be some waiting for cars being done here.

Own Your Degree: Capture Photos Where You Made It Happen

Forget the obvious! Find a campus location that speaks to you! if you spent half your college life in the PFT, BEC, or those science labs, why not own it? Snap your senior portraits where your blood, sweat, and coffee stains made history. Engineering? Pose with PFT. Business major? The BEC is calling your name. STEM? Grab those lab coats and serve some scientific realness. Wherever you put in the work, that’s where you should shine. Make that degree look GOOD!
