Caroline and Tam’s elopement came together in just a week, and honestly, it was one of the most memorable and unique celebrations I’ve ever photographed. The couple’s vow exchange and ceremony took place at Red Stick Reads, a charming local bookstore, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. Surrounded by shelves of stories, their vows felt like they were straight out of a fantasy romance novel. It was cozy, heartfelt, and uniquely them.

Originally, we planned to take their engagement photos on the same day as their elopement, but rain had other plans. Instead, we rescheduled their portraits for a better weather day and were lucky to find one later that week. So a few days after the formal ceremony, we headed out to LSU Burden Gardens for their post-wedding engagement photos. Honestly, it was the best thing that could have happened. The extra time gave us the freedom to explore and really soak in the beauty of the gardens. From lush greenery and colorful flowers to quiet, romantic paths, we got such a variety of backdrops that really showcased their fun personalities and love for each other.

What I loved most was how much fun these two had together. Their laughter was contagious, and their connection was undeniable. They were so easygoing and up for anything, which made capturing their love story an absolute joy. The variety of shots we got—soft and romantic moments mixed with playful and carefree ones—was incredible.

This is only the beginning of their journey though! With a full wedding planned for Vietnam next year, I can only imagine the magic to come. These two radiate love, and being part of this chapter in their story was such an honor.
